Alongside the scheduled games, there is also a chance for you to vote for your favorite Euros final, with the top three being played in full over the last weekend of June. Details on how to cast your vote and the top 10 finals to choose from will be live on the BBC Sport website soon.

Match: Sweden v England

Tournament: Euro 2012

What channel is it on? BBC Two, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and mobile app

Why should I watch it? England boss Roy Hodgson had only been appointed a month earlier, filling the void left by Fabio Capello’s resignation. His task was complicated by a suspension for star forward Wayne Rooney, so towering striker Andy Carroll instead led the line in this game.

A 1-1 draw with France in their first match had provided some encouragement, and meant victory against Sweden would leave the Three Lions in charge of their fate. The Swedes knew defeat in Kyiv would send them out – they were pinning their hopes on brilliant center-forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Match: Netherlands v Czech Republic

Tournament: Euro 2004

What channel is it on? BBC Two, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and mobile app.

Why should I watch it? The Netherlands had surprisingly failed to qualify for the 2002 World Cup, but they sent a star-studded squad to Portugal for this tournament, including attacking talents such as Arjen Robben and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Czech Republic had finished as runners-up at Euro 96 but arguably had a stronger squad at this tournament.

Midfielder and Captain Pavel Nedved was at the peak of his powers, Petr Cech and Tomas Rosicky were emerging as stars, while striker Milan Baros – then with Liverpool – was in the deadly form that summer.

Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz

Uefa planning Champions League Final Eight format in Lisbon

Proposal would see second legs scrapped for quarter-finals and semi-finals.

The winner of this season’s Uefa Champions League, European club soccer’s premier competition, could be decided by a Final Eight tournament format in Portugal, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish newspaper reports that European body Uefa is drawing up a plan that would see second legs scrapped for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, allowing for the Champions League to be completed at one stadium by 22nd August.

Mundo Deportivo said that Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz is Uefa’s preferred option to host the tournament because there are no Portuguese sides left in the competition, although Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano and Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena are reportedly also in the frame.

“Concrete plan” to finish Champions League by August, says Čeferin

Uefa is planning to allow Europe’s domestic leagues to finish their 2019/20 seasons before resuming the Champions League, although it was previously reported that the new date for the final would be 29th August.

The 2020 Champions League final was due take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on 30th May, but the Associated Press reported over the weekend that Uefa will move the game from Istanbul because it is ‘no longer practical’ to stage the fixture in the Turkish city this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The last Champions League fixtures took place on 11th March and it is still unclear how the four outstanding last-16 ties will be completed.

Mundo Deportivo added that Uefa is still considering how to decide the winner of this season’s Europa League, with a final decision on its two club competitions expected on 17th June.
