Unlike Jeongseon, Welli Hilli was not part of the PyeongChang 2018 venues, making its addition to Gangwon 2024 particularly exciting. The freestyle skiing schedule is packed, beginning on January 23 with ski cross, followed by the slopestyle events on January 24, and dual moguls on January 26. Other thrilling events like Big Air and Halfpipe will keep the action going.
With athletes competing across twelve medal events in total: three in ski cross, three in dual moguls, then two apiece in Big Air, slopestyle, in addition then halfpipe. Notably, Gangwon 2024 will see the debut of both dual moguls and mixed ski cross at the Youth Olympic Games, adding fresh competitive elements to the program.
Winter Olympic 2026: Big Air & Slopestyle Athletes Format and Scoring
At Gangwon 2024, dual moguls teams will compete in a head-to-head format, with a roster of 40 athletes going for the podium. The Big Air and slopestyle events will see 44 athletes take to the slopes, showcasing their skills across different competition formats. Germany’s Muriel Mohr is also one to watch. With a strong record against senior competition. She placed sixth in Big Air at the 2023 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships. And earned a Top 10 finish in slopestyle at the senior World Cup. Mohr captured the junior world slopestyle title in 2023. Adding to her collection of two silver medals in Big Air and slopestyle from the 2021 Junior World Championships.
