Liam Gallagher has shut the door on Fontaines D.C. The Oasis singer made his view clear on X. He said the Dublin band are not good enough. He added that they lack the songs. The reply was short and sharp. It came as plans grew for the Oasis 2027 Tour, including Oasis Glasgow and Oasis Manchester. Even Oasis Munich would not change his mind. His stance is firm today.

The remark landed at a busy time. Fontaines D.C. had just released Dopamine Chamber. They played a launch show at the Roundhouse in London. Gallagher weighed in online. His view is simple. For the Oasis 2027 Tour, he wants proven hits. He sees Oasis Barcelona and Oasis Amsterdam as nights for big songs. He wants huge choruses.
Gallagher has been consistent on this point. He has said the same thing before. Fontaines D.C. have not replied yet. The band stays silent for now. That silence leaves the story open. Meanwhile, the stage plans move on. Work for Oasis Paris and Oasis Rome goes on as planned. The support lineup is a clear matter to him.
How the Feud Started Before the Oasis 2027 Tour?
The feud began in 2024. Oasis had just announced a reunion. The news swept the music world. Interviews followed for the Fontaines D.C. record Romance. Reporters asked about Oasis Manchester and the comeback. The band gave blunt answers. Some of them were mild. Others stung. Soon the story spread to Oasis Glasgow and beyond.

Guitarist Carlos O’Connell said he did not care about the return. Bassist Conor Deegan III went further. He said nostalgia traps rock and blocks new work. That view clashed sharply with the Oasis 2027 Tour and its big plans. To Gallagher, it sounded like an insult. Talk of Oasis Munich or Oasis Barcelona only made it worse.
Gallagher mocked the band on X. He said he had seen roadies dressed better. He also compared them to EMF, the nineties dance act. The jokes spread fast across social media. Later, he said they were not biblical enough. That word matters to him. Oasis Amsterdam, Oasis Paris, and Oasis Rome all need that scale, in his view.
What Fontaines D.C. Said About the Oasis Rome Return
Fontaines D.C. come from Dublin. They play sharp post-punk with poetic lyrics. Their new album, Dopamine Chamber, shows a band in motion. Critics often praise their bold voice. That voice clashes with the old rock model. Oasis Glasgow may be a world away from their sound. So might Oasis Paris or Oasis Barcelona.
Grian Chatten took a softer tone. He said he loves Oasis. He said the harsh words were not his view. That helped cool the mood. It showed a split in the band. Still, the Oasis 2027 Tour remains out of reach for them. Talk of Oasis Manchester or Oasis Amsterdam changes nothing there. Gallagher has made his choice.
Grab your Oasis Paris Tickets this very moment to experience unforgettable live music in the heart of France! Fontaines D.C. have not answered the latest remark. Their silence may be a wise choice. A reply could stretch the feud even further. The band has an album to promote. That work matters more right now. Oasis Munich and Oasis Rome will go on with or without comment. The band will keep writing and touring.
The Oasis 2027 Tour Stadium Plans Stay on Course
The war of words has not changed the plan. Oasis will play 42 dates on the Live 27 run. The route includes Wembley Stadium and Knebworth. It also includes Oasis Glasgow at Celtic Park. Oasis Manchester brings the Etihad Stadium. Each stop is a large venue. The scale is huge. The tour is built for giant crowds. Few bands can match it.
Oasis have kept their focus firmly on the live stage. Gallagher and his brother Noel lead the way. They know what works in a stadium. Songs come first. In that setting, the Oasis 2027 Tour needs no extra drama. Even Oasis Munich or Oasis Paris would follow the same rule. The show rests on the hits. Anything else is a side story.

Richard Ashcroft is the only special guest named so far. The former Verve singer is set for the entire run. His songs carry weight and history. He brings a proven voice to the night. That fits the mood of the shows. The same guest list stands from Oasis Barcelona to Oasis Amsterdam. No other act has been named.
What the Oasis Munich Means for Rock Going Forward
This clash says a lot about rock today. One side looks ahead. The other leans on the past. Both sides make a point. Oasis Manchester shows how strong the past can be. The Oasis Munich would show how far a classic sound can travel. Oasis Glasgow adds more weight to that idea. New bands face a hard task. They must earn space beside giants.
Gallagher believes songs decide everything. He says a band must write hits to share a big stage. He has said this many times. The rule is simple to him. In his mind, the Oasis 2027 Tour is a test of that rule. Fontaines D.C. see art differently. They value change and risk. Oasis Paris and Oasis Barcelona could host either view.
The story may end here for now. The next move belongs to the band from Dublin. Their album is out. The world can judge it. Oasis Amsterdam and Oasis Rome will draw their own crowds. The two bands walk different roads. Each road has value. Rock needs both old heroes and new voices. That balance keeps the genre alive.
